Our Origins
The Studio was founded from the shared vision of Manuel Baldazzi and Gianluca Zattera, after more than a decade of experience at one of the world’s leading consulting firms. From the outset, their objective was clear: to establish a firm that could provide personalized advisory services founded on quality, trust, and a strong client relationship.
The firm immediately stood out for its dynamic and collaborative approach, where professional growth is fostered through shared expertise and a merit-based culture.
First Acquisitions and Consolidation
In 2008, the firm embarked on an important expansion phase. It acquired a tax practice in Milan, broadening its reach and strengthening its team. This first step marked the beginning of solid, sustained growth, driven also by the arrival of talented young professionals.
International Specialization
Two years later, the firm integrated a boutique consultancy with a strong focus on assisting Italian subsidiaries of foreign multinational groups. This move further reinforced the firm’s international positioning, expanding its client portfolio and consolidating its expertise in the global corporate landscape.
Reorganization and New Leadership
As the organization grew, 2014 brought a structural turning point. The firm introduced internal business areas and appointed new partners, each responsible for a dedicated client portfolio. In parallel, internal procedures were formalized to ensure consistent quality and operational efficiency.
Certification and Continued Growth
2016 marked a milestone year: the firm obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification, confirming its commitment to quality and structured processes. That same year, a second acquisition in Milan further strengthened the team, bringing the number of professionals to around twenty and supporting more than one hundred companies, many of which are Italian branches of foreign corporate groups.
Joining the Global Network
In 2017, Baldazzi Zattera & Associati joined Antea, one of the leading international networks of independent professional firms. This step marked the beginning of a structured global presence, enabling the firm to support clients across multiple jurisdictions through a coordinated network of partners.
Digitalization and New Horizons
The firm completed its digital transformation, achieving a paperless model and implementing integrated tools for remote operations, accounting automation, and real-time client communication. This evolution has boosted operational efficiency and opened up new avenues for growth.
Expanding Customs Expertise
One of the firm’s partners completed an advanced course in international trade, customs law, excise duties, and VAT, obtaining the professional qualification of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) accredited by the Italian Customs Authority. This expertise enhances the firm’s offering for clients engaged in complex cross-border operations.
Joining the International VAT Association
Baldazzi Zattera & Associati became a member of the International VAT Association, the world’s leading network of VAT and indirect tax professionals, headquartered in Bruges._x000B_This recognition underscores the firm’s specialization in international taxation and its ongoing commitment to keep pace with evolving European and global regulations.
20 Years of Growth
In 2025, Baldazzi Zattera & Associati celebrates its twentieth anniversary. A significant milestone, made possible by the trust of the many clients who, from the beginning, chose to grow alongside the firm.
